Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law : ウィキペディア英語版 | Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law
The Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law (GDEHKL) is a Hong Kong diploma programme that allows students that did not take law as an undergraduate degree (i.e. "non-law students") to "convert" to law, before going onto a professional qualification course and ultimately legal training. The GDEHKL is a localised mutation of the Common Professional Examination of England and Wales (CPE), or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL). It is jointly offered by the University of Hong Kong's School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE) as the course operator, and Manchester Metropolitan University as the qualification awarding institution. The completion of the course qualifies students to take the CPE examinations. The qualification substantially satisfies the requirements for entry into the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) for those that intend to practice law in Hong Kong, and for the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and the English Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) for those that intend to practice in England and Wales. Additional "conversion" requirements for PCLL were added in 2008. In order to progress to PCLL, graduates of the GDEHKL should take the additional MMU LLB year after CPE. On completion, students will have passed all necessary law subjects required for PCLL eligibility.〔http://hkuspace.hku.hk/brochure/lw56-806-01.pdf〕 ==References==
